How can you aptly describe hearing your child’s first words? How can you share the experience of watching your child’s first steps? They are moments that are so very personal – and priceless.
Increasingly, these motherhood moments are facing extinction. Fooled into campaigning for strangers, employed to care for and teach strangers’ children, some mothers are relinquishing these experiences.
And there are other options:
1. Fall pregnant. End the life. Get a cash rebate. Don’t tell the father.
2. Have the child. Get a family allowance. Deny the father access, but claim his money.
3. Enrol in childcare. Pay nothing. Get a family allowance. Deny the father access, but claim his money.
4. Enrol in public school. Pay nothing. Get a family allowance. Deny the father access, but claim his money.
If mothers can’t have motherhood moments, then fathers can’t have fatherhood moments either. Isn’t that how these options work?
More than 75% of teachers are women and more than 95% of childcare workers are women. Almost one third of Australian families are fatherless.
We can no longer ignore this destructive agenda.
As the federal election approaches, stop, listen carefully, and be sure you fully comprehend the campaign promises.
They might sound good in theory. But ask yourself these important questions. Do they add to the relinquishment of those precious moments between mother and child, and between father and child? Are they nothing more than an elixir for mother guilt?
Motherhood is an honour. So is fatherhood.
Teachers and childcare workers work hard. But so do the mothers and fathers who have need of their services.
Families raise children. Governments don’t. Make sure you understand the difference.
