Safe Schools: Reality, Theory or Opportunity?

 An authentic school is more than a space for learning and teaching. It is a guardian of relationships. The most important is the one between parent and child – a relationship you must acknowledge and protect. Whenever a new idea or program is introduced, the school community will, quite rightly, investigate its impact. Difficult questions will be asked and honest answers will be expected. An authentic school encourages this dialogue and actively supports the parent and child relationship.

 SAFE SCHOOLS: REALITY, THEORY OR OPPORTUNITY?

 The Safe Schools program, and the discussion surrounding it, demonstrate clearly that parents have strong, individual views about their children’s education. An authentic school expects parent advocates and protestors to seek information, engage in open forums, speak out, and take a stand for their children.

 On Tuesday 10 October at 4pm, I will host a live webinar, to explore these important questions;

 Does your school encourage parents to be advocates for their children?

How does your school protect the crucial relationship between parent and child?
